Day of the Child is a Latin American tradition to celebrate the young child. Earth Day has been a day to take action to help our environment since 1970, and connects us to our beautiful town and natural resources such as the fresh water that we depend on every day. Day of the Child and Earth Day have been a harmonious theme for the Watsonville festival for 15 years. We are “Together for a Beautiful and Healthy Watsonville ,” building a strong community for future generations.
