Watsonville Man Arrested With Alleged 10 Pounds of Meth
A Watsonville man under investigation by Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies was arrested in Monterey County for allegedly possessing drugs

MONTEREY COUNTY - A 31-year-old Watsonville man under investigation by Santa Cruz County sheriff's deputies was arrested with a woman in Monterey County for allegedly possessing drugs, a sheriff's spokesman said today.
Rodrigo "Roy" Marquez and Julia Ryan, 23, of Seaside, were arrested with help from the California Highway Patrol officers who stopped his car, Santa Cruz County sheriff's Sgt. Roy Morales said.
The Santa Cruz County sheriff's Special Enforcement Team was following Marquez and helped the CHP search the suspect and his vehicle, Morales said.

Detectives found 10.4 pounds of crystal methamphetamine in multiple containers and half a pound of heroin packaged for sale, according to Morales.
Ryan was allegedly found with 2 ounces of methamphetamine, Morales said.

Marquez was out of custody on $250,000 bail after a February arrest by the Peninsula Regional Violence and Narcotics Team, according to Morales.
The suspects were booked into Monterey County Jail, Morales said.
