WATSONVILLE, CA — A Watsonville man was arrested Saturday morning after Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team Gang Task Force found $120,000 worth of heroin, and about $22,000 in cash, at his home, the task force commander said. Juan Lorenzo Garfias-Luquin, 33, was arrested about 9:30 a.m. Saturday after a three-month investigation.

Task force officers served a search warrant at a home in the 400 block of Winchester Drive in Watsonville, said George Rivera, commander of the Santa Cruz County Anti-Crime Team. The money, Rivera said, is believed to be income from heroin sales. Agents also recovered scales and packaging material from the Winchester Drive home.

Garfias-Luquin was taken into custody on suspicion of narcotic sales and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. The task force asks that anyone who may have information on this case or any other narcotics-related case call its office at (831) 454-2320.
