Watsonville Man Arrested in Gang Shooting
Police are still seeking a second suspect, who is considered armed and dangerous.
A Watsonville man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with an alleged gang shooting that took place last week, police said Friday.
Edgar Ibarra, 20, has been arrested in connection with a May 3 incident in which one person was shot in the leg on Sudden Street near East Lake Avenue around 7:36 p.m., Watsonville police said Friday.
The victim in that incident was confronted by two men in a parking lot and shot in the right leg, and transported to Watsonville Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police have obtained a $750,000 warrant for a second suspect in the shooting, 19-year-old Alex Rugerio. Rugerio is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
The shooting is being treated as a gang-related incident, police said.
