Watsonville Walgreens Pharmacy Robbed Of Medication

BREAKING: The suspect fled on foot and is still at large.

WATSONVILLE, CA — A Watsonville Walgreens pharmacy department was robbed Sunday, police said.At about 8:30 p.m., a suspect entered the store at 1810 Freedom Blvd. and went to the pharmacy.

Police said the suspect waved a handgun at the pharmacy technicians, jumped the counter and demanded prescription drugs. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of medication and was last seen running toward Green Valley Road.

Police said no shots were fired and no one was injured. Police are describing the suspect as a Hispanic man in his early 20s with a thin build.
