105 Degree Temps Expected, Heat Advisory Issued In San Fernando Valley

Parts of Los Angeles County, including the San Fernando Valley, could see temperatures up to 105 degrees Monday.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — Monday is sure to be a scorcher in the San Fernando Valley as parts of the Los Angeles County could reach 105 degrees.

The National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the Los Angeles County mountains, Santa Clarita Valley, Santa Monica Mountains, San Fernando Valley and San Gabriel Valley Monday. Temperatures in these areas will range from 95-105 degrees.

The hear advisory was set to expire at 7 p.m. Monday.

Northridge and Chatsworth will stay just under 100 degrees, as Granada Hills hikes up to 99 degrees. Woodland Hills will hit 100 degrees Monday afternoon, according to AccuWeather. Calabasas will hit 95 degrees and Agoura Hills will stay closer to 90.

Sherman Oaks, Studio City and Burbank will sit around 95 degrees Monday afternoon.

Residents are advised to wear light-weight clothing, drink water and take frequent breaks in the shade, NWS said.
