The Ventura County Public Works Agency held its annual State of Agency
Over 350 Ventura County Public Works (VCPWA) employees attended the annual State of Agency event on October 5th and 6th.
On October 5th and 6th over 350 members of the Ventura County Public Works Agency (VCPWA), District 1 Supervisor and Board Chair Matt LaVere and the County of Ventura’s CEO Dr. Sevet Johnson gathered to hear the latest innovative of VCPWA, on the following subjects: survey monitoring at Matilija Dam, disaster preparedness, water conservation mandates, SB 1383 organic waste reduction program, tsumas Creek construction project, and the PEAK Lean process improvement and training program. The presentations were prepared and presented by Team Ambassadors from each of the 5 departments – Central Services , Engineering Services, Roads & Transportation, Water & Sanitation , and Watershed Protection. This year’s program was centered around the theme Ready & Resilient as this is a key principle of the Agency’s service to the County.
Ambassadors and speakers were: Wanda Crane, Keith Kleinkopf, Marielou Chua, David Goldstein, Mikey Arambula, Tommy Liddell, Eric Alger, Jill Jennings, Rigo Loera, Joshua Gonzales, Joshua Patricio, Susanna Arroyo, and Luis Lechuga.
