COLORADO — County clerks across Colorado have begun mailing ballots for the state's primary election, which will be held June 28.

Secretary of State Jena Griswold urged residents to check their voter registration and be aware of deadlines ahead of the election, which will determine who will be nominees for both the Democratic and Republican parties in Colorado's gubernatorial election Nov. 8.

“Every election is important because they allow citizens to make their voices heard on important issues, including who represents us in government," Griswold said in a statement released Monday. "The primaries are about getting to choose who will be on the ballot in November. So, I encourage every eligible Coloradan who has not yet registered to vote do so, there is still time!”
