Colorado Woman, 20, Dead After Fall At NYC Hotel: NYPD

COLORADO — A 20-year-old Colorado woman was found dead on scaffolding on the second floor of the Oyo Hotel in Times Square Tuesday night after what authorities believe was "a fall from an elevated position," the NYPD told Patch Wednesday morning.

Police said they received a report of an assault in progress just before 10:30 Tuesday night before finding the woman dead on arrival.

An investigation indicated a physical altercation at the hotel between the woman and a 24-year-old man, who was taken into custody and is facing charges, police said. A one-year-old baby boy was also discovered in the hotel room but was taken to the hospital unharmed, according to police.

Police told Patch that the man was visiting from Littleton, Colorado. ABC7 reported that the woman was also from Colorado, citing police.
