BOULDER, CO -- A scholarship fund has been launched to honor the memory of longtime Daily Camera editor Kevin Kaufman. Kaufman, who died on Feb. 10, was the Camera's executive editor, and widely respected for both his professional skill and his devotion to preserving local journalism.

A GoFundMe site was launched in order to fund a scholarship to the University of Colorado-Boulder's College of Media, Communications and Information in Kaufman's name and honor. Within a day, the fundraiser had already generated several thousand dollars toward its $25,000 goal.

It was determined that the scholarship will be administered through the University of Colorado Foundation, according to the Daily Camera. Those who wish to make tax-deductible contributions that can continue to donate directly through the foundation here.
