The passengers were evacuated on the runway, the Federal Aviation Administration says.

DENVER, CO — Passengers were evacuated onto the runway after a "possible landing gear incident" during an American Airlines flight from Denver Saturday, the Federal Aviation Administration told Patch.
According to an FAA spokesperson, American Airlines Flight 3023 reported a possible landing gear incident during departure from Denver International Airport around 2:45 p.m. local time Saturday, July 26.
Passengers evacuated on the runway and were transported to the terminal by bus, the FAA said.

Videos on social media showed passengers using slides to evacuate, with smoke emanating from the plane; the FAA did not comment on those videos.
