UNC and Sodexo Cater Prestigious Cattle Baron’s Ball

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC), in collaboration with Sodexo, proudly catered the prestigious Cattle Baron’s Ball on Sept. 21, an annual fundraising event hosted by the American Cancer Society. Drawing over 1,000 attendees from across the state, the event has become a key fixture in Colorado’s charitable calendar, raising significant funds for cancer research and patient care.

The evening featured a gourmet plated dinner, with the UNC dining team preparing and serving premium steaks and decadent desserts to the assembled guests. The menu, carefully crafted by Sodexo’s skilled team, highlighted the university’s ongoing commitment to culinary excellence, even as it supported a cause that resonates deeply with the community.

This year marked the third consecutive year that Sodexo had the honor of catering the Cattle Baron’s Ball. Over the past three years, each event has grown in success, and 2024 was no different. Attendees helped raise an impressive $1.7 million for cancer research, care, and services. This contribution brings the event’s cumulative total to over $12 million since its inception thirty-two years ago. The funds are used to support the American Cancer Society’s mission, which includes groundbreaking cancer research, patient care services, and other life-saving initiatives.
