An injured Texas woman was air-lifted by rescuers near Longs Peak. Searchers are still looking for a missing Illinois man.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, CO – A Texas woman who had fallen near Long's Peak was located and air-lifted to medical treatment by rescuers searching for a missing Illinois hiker.

Emma Long, 23, of Houston, was reported by a friend as overdue Thursday near the Keyhole Route, the Rocky Mountain National Park press officer said. Early morning park visitors found her after she had fallen from an area above the rock formation notch in the ridge between Longs Peak and Storm Peak about 24 hours before.

Rocky Mountain National Park Search and Rescue Team found her at 9:30 a.m. and determined that her injuries were serious. The rescue team members and visitors moved her with a litter to an area where a Flight For Life air ambulance from Colorado Springs flew her at 11:10 a.m. to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Lakewood.
