  1. Are you looking for 4th of July activities in Boulder? There are plenty of ways to celebrate the holiday this weekend, ranging from the Boulder Symphony Concert Celebration to the Louisville Slugger Independence Day Tournament. If you want to hike or picnic at Chautauqua, the Park-to-Park hiker shuttle will be running on Jul. 2, 3 and 4 from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for free. (BoulderColoradoUSA.com)
  2. An electrical shortage in the Wapos Restaurant’s attic led to a fire that caused “significant damage” on Thursday. The restaurant said it would be temporarily closed while it repaired damage from the fire, according to a Facebook post created just before midnight that night. In the meantime, the owners of the restaurant said customers could go to DosWapos in Lafayette, 1389 Forest Park Circle. (Boulder Daily Camera)
  3. The housing market moderation has begun to show in Northern Colorado and the Boulder Valley and is believed to be caused by interest-rate increases and general economic uncertainty. As reported by Information and Real Estate Services LLC, May home sales sold on par with April, but median prices are down in all but one community. Boulder, which has led the region in home prices, saw 53 homes sell in May, down from 57 in April. (Boulder Daily Camera)
