5 Arrested In Connection With Boulder Riot, New Videos Released

The public has helped to identify people who are accused of participating in the massive riot.

BOULDER, CO — Five more people were arrested in connection with a riot that broke out March 6 in Boulder's University Hill neighborhood, police said Monday.

Detectives have identified other people who were involved in the riot and expect to make more arrests this week, police said.

  • Garrett Doyle, 22, faces felony counts of menacing, criminal attempt second-degree assault on a peace officer, engaging in a riot and disobedience of public safety orders, Boulder police said.
  • Brandon and Eric Hoover, both 24, were each charged with misdemeanor counts of engaging in a riot, violating public health orders and petty offense disorderly conduct, police said.
  • Boland Dodge, 21, was charged with misdemeanor counts of engaging in a riot, violating public health orders and obstructing government operations.

  • Parker Clemons, 20, misdemeanor counts of engaging in a riot, violating the public health order and criminal mischief, police said.

Boulder police have also released new videos of people who detectives want to identify.

Police announced the first arrest Wednesday in connection with the riot, which broke out when a large student party of between 500 and 800 people escalated and clashed with police. Rioters threw rocks and bottles at officers and smashed the windshield of an armored vehicle, police said.

Three officers suffered minor injuries, and a SWAT team was called to help. Officers used two canisters of smoke, one canister of CS Tear Gas and pepper ball projectiles fired at the ground near the rioters, police said.
