Sex Offender Arrested After Inappropriate Comments To Girls: Cops

Suspect who approached three girls in Boulder park arrested by local police.

BOULDER, CO – A registered sex offender was arrested after police say he made inappropriate comments to a group of young girls in a city park. The man, Warren Dennis, was taken into custody shortly before 4 p.m. Friday, on two counts of harassment as he attempted to enter the East Boulder Recreation Center.

Dennis, a registered sex offender with the city of Boulder for an out-of-state misdemeanor offense, was then transported to Boulder County Jail.

Police say that Dennis made comments to three young girls, ages 9, 10 and 12, about their bodies on Sept. 2 in Park East Park. The girls biked away and told a parent, who confronted the suspect. His response was to threaten sexual violence and say that he would burn down the neighborhood, according to a report from the Boulder Police Department.
