Boulder County Coronavirus Update: 724 New Cases In 2 Weeks

BOULDER COUNTY, CO — Over the past two weeks, 724 new cases of the coronavirus have been reported in Boulder County, according to the latest public health data.

As of Thursday, 19,856 people in the county had tested positive for the virus since the outbreak began. The death toll has reached 250 after three people died over the past two weeks.

Around 647 people have been hospitalized since the outbreak began, and 67 new hospitalizations were reported over the past two weeks, according to Boulder County Public Health. More than 435,900 tests have been conducted among county residents.

Total coronavirus cases reported since outbreak began:

  • Boulder: 282 new cases reported over past two weeks; 7,400 total cases
  • Longmont: 217 new cases reported over past two weeks; 6,774 total cases
  • Lafayette: 47 new cases reported over past two weeks; 1,601 total cases
  • Unincorporated Boulder County: 73 new cases reported over past two weeks; 1,721 total cases
  • Erie: 32 new cases reported over past two weeks; 494 total cases
  • Louisville: 34 new cases reported over past two weeks; 885 total cases
  • Superior: 22 new cases reported over past two weeks; 391 total cases

As of Friday, Coloradans ages 50 and older, as well as people ages 16 to 49 with one high-risk health condition, are eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, but the allocation of doses has remained limited in Boulder County, and appointments for the vaccine have been filling up quickly.
