Boulder County Offers $25 Trees To Save Energy

Trees in the yard offer all sorts of benefits, which is why Boulder County is offering them for only $25 a piece.

BOULDER, CO — Boulder County is offering residents highly discounted trees, according to a release from Energy Saving Trees, an Arbor Day Foundation program. This means Boulderites can get trees in five-gallon buckets for just $25.

Trees can provide a good amount of shade, so when they're placed strategically, they can reduce energy costs. "This program is designed to help you better understand where to plant a tree on your property to achieve maximum shading effect for maximum energy savings," the release said.

"At Boulder County, we're committed to a greener, healthier world," the release said.
