Here are the top three stories today in Boulder:
- Boulder is using a portion of its American Rescue Plan Act funds to offer grants to local arts and cultural organizations looking to rebuild their workforce. 10 grants of $87,900 each will be available; applications are open through Jul. 11. The Boulder Arts Commission will determine grant recipients on Wednesday, Jul. 20 at its 6 p.m. meeting, which will be open to the public. (BizWest)
- Boulder County officials remind the community of firework restrictions ahead of the fast-approaching Fourth of July holiday weekend. On Jun. 15, Stage 1 fire restrictions — prohibiting firework sales, use, and possession (including legal fireworks)— were implemented in unincorporated areas of western Boulder County. These restrictions were enacted due to dry weather and the subsequent increased fire risk. Throughout the state of Colorado, any fireworks that leave the ground are considered illegal, with the exception of those used in professional shows. (Colorado Daily)
- Whether you're looking for a new home or just want to see what's on the market, you won't want to miss these five upcoming open houses in Boulder this weekend. Available listings include a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom second-floor condo for $765,000, as well as a 2-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom, single-family Neo-Victorian home for $1,875,000. Visit the link for pictures, specs, and open house information for these and other properties. (Boulder Patch)
