The Best Colorado Produce This Weekend
Top picks and last chances at Boulder-area farmers markets this weekend

Although our thoughts often turn to Fall with the start of a new school year, September is the peak of the season in Colorado for local produce. With four local farmers markets to choose from, there is a chance to grab your favorite treats wherever your weekend may take you.

What's in: Almost everything! Tomatoes, green beans, sweet and hot peppers, cucumbers, eggplant and sweet corn are the seasonal highlights in the vegetable world. There will still be peaches this week - and plums, apples and pears are on the way in as well! Look for unique treats like artichokes or fennel to impress your dinner party guests.
Don't miss out: This could be the last week for Colorado's famous Western Slope peaches. Stock up now - or grab a box of seconds to make jam or other preserves to enjoy throughout the winter.
