34-year-old climbs up, but he can't climb down.

BOULDER, CO - A 34-year-old man was helped to safety off a cliff Tuesday shortly after noon by two nearby climbers. First responders, who had been en route, then walked him to the trailhead. He did not sustain any injuries, according to a report from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office.

The aspiring climber had scrambled half-way up the Flatiron, but was unable to get back down. He was climbing without ropes, food, or water. He did manage to get to the top of the crag, where he waited for rescue.

The Boulder County Communications Center received a call about a man in need of rescue from the Chautauqua Ranger's Cottage at 12:50 p.m. Tuesday, and emergency personnel responded.
