Eyelash Curler, Mistaken For Gun, Causes Boulder School Lockdowns
Two Boulder schools were shut down temporarily Wednesday after reports of a possible gun which turned out to be an eyelash curler.
BOULDER, CO — Two Boulder schools were closed temporarily Wednesday after reports of what people mistook for a gun was seen, according to reports. Instead of a gun, however, the object that caused the cautionary measure was an eyelash curler a woman was using in a car, according to reports.
The Daily Camera reported both Casey Middle School and Sacred Heart of Jesus School were closed in the morning and were later reopened around 12:30 p.m.
The cautious mindset leading to the closures was in part a result of a shooting in Highlands Ranch, which left one student dead and eight others wounded on Tuesday.
