FBI Interviewed Boulder's Ramirez Sunday

Local resident was questioned in the new investigation into allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

BOULDER, CO - FBI investigators interviewed Boulder's Debbie Ramirez Sunday in their investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, according to a source close to the investigation, reported the Denver Post Sunday night. Ramirez became the second woman to level accusations against Judge Kavanaugh when she spoke out about her college experiences with him to the New Yorker last week.

The source said that Ramirez gave the FBI names of other witnesses, but declined to provide any further information about the interview. Ramirez's attorney, John Clune of local firm Hutchinson, Black, and Cook, has said publicly several times that she wished to speak to the FBI, a request that was granted after Arizona's Republican senator Jeff Flake agreed to vote 'yes' on Kavanaugh's nomination and advance confirmation to the full Senate floor only if the FBI undertook an investigation of the allegations.

Kavanaugh's first accuser, Californian Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last Thursday. Kavanaugh has denied both sets of allegations.
