Grass Fire Extinguished Overnight In Boulder County

The fire was completely extinguished in two hours and is estimated to have burned 2.5 acres of native grass.

BOULDER COUNTY, CO—Firefighters extinguished an early morning grass fire on Boulder County early Monday morning.

Around 1 a.m., the Boulder County Sheriff's Office said that dispatch received a report of a small grass fire in the area of 3500 Nelson Road in unincorporated Boulder County.

A deputy was dispatched to the area and was able to confirm the presence of a fire from a substantial distance away.

Deputies said firefighters from Lefthand Fire and Hygiene Fire responded to the scene and were quickly able to contain the spread.

No structures were threatened and no immediate cause of the fire has been identified.
