1. CDOT will start issuing $75 speeding tickets Monday on Highway 119 between Boulder and Longmont (denver7.com) — If you drive Highway 119 between Boulder and Longmont, expect real $75 tickets starting Monday as CDOT switches from warnings to full speed-camera enforcement in the work zone. Officials say speeding has already dropped sharply, but they’re targeting remaining dangerous driving to protect workers and motorists and may expand cameras to other zones if this corridor proves successful.
   

2. Boulder County approves Riverside Cabins special use approve (dailycamera.com) — Boulder County commissioners have unanimously approved a special use review allowing Riverside Cabins near Lyons to continue as a resort lodge under strict conditions on guest capacity, safety, and floodplain management. The decision formalizes historic use of the property, requires infrastructure upgrades, and responds to neighbor concerns about rentals, emergency access, and on‑site management.
   

3. St. Vrain, Boulder Valley graduation rates continue to climb (dailycamera.com) — Boulder Valley schools just posted their highest on-time graduation rate in nine years, with especially strong gains for Hispanic, multilingual, and unhoused students. Alongside St. Vrain’s leading numbers, local educators credit early literacy, extra tutoring, and expanded career and college pathways for helping more Boulder-area students finish high school on time.
   

4. Boulder, CO – Two-Car Collision with Injuries Near College Ave (localaccidentreports.com) — Emergency crews in Boulder responded late Saturday night to an injury crash near College Ave, sending a fire engine and ambulance after reports of a two-car collision. Officials confirm people were hurt but haven’t released how many or how seriously, and it’s unclear if anyone was hospitalized. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
   

5. Storytellers of Color: Deshaciendo Nudos — Language Is Power (kgnu.org) — A new Storytellers of Color episode spotlights Leticia Abajo Torrijos, who has supported Spanish-speaking and immigrant families across Boulder County since the late 1990s. She reflects on how language, listening, and bilingualism shape dignity, belonging, and leadership, and describes her therapeutic writing workshops that help community members untangle emotional “knots” and move forward with more clarity and confidence.
