Lethal Methods May Be Used For Boulder Prairie Dog Control
The Boulder City Council approved an examination of potentially using lethal methods to address a prairie dog abundance.
BOULDER, CO — The Boulder City Council approved the examination of a process for prairie dog control that may include lethal measures, according to a report from the Daily Camera. The late-night meeting lasted nearly four hours, the report said.
According to the Camera, the council's decision means the Open Space and Mountain Parks staff will take on an examination of several factors in the northern grasslands.
The council's motion said the study will determine whether methods such as "key-lining, soil amendments, lethal control and other measures," would be acceptable, according to the Camera.
