Public Agendas: Longmont Farm Purchase, Marijuana, and Land Use

BOULDER, CO - It's a week to take on contentious issues in Boulder County. The Boulder City Council is scheduled to do the seemingly impossible and approach consensus on both the Hogan Pancost parcel and the CU South annexation in a single meeting. Meanwhile, both Erie and Louisville will have discussion on marijuana regulations and Longmont City Council has a discussion scheduled concerning new leases at the Vance Brand Airport, and an $8.22 million dollar farmland purchase.

Boulder -

*Tuesday, 6 p.m. - City Council Study Session. The City Council returns to not one, but two topics that have been intractable in recent years - the annexation of CU South and the development on the Hogan Pancost parcel. Either everything or nothing could be decided at this meeting.

*Wednesday, 6 p.m. - Open Space Board of Trustees Meeting. Update on mosquito management and master plan committee. Report on current status on emerald ash borer.

Erie -

*Monday, 6 p.m. - Open Space and Trails Advisory Meeting. Executive session on property purchase (not open to public), trail links discussions.

*Tuesday, 6 p.m. - Board of Trustees Meeting. Water reclamation report, several proposed code changes including marijuana clubs, business licenses, and unattended vehicles.

Lafayette -

* Tuesday, 6 p.m. - Energy Sustainability Advisory Board Meeting, Senior Advisory Board Meeting, agendas unavailable.

Longmont -

* Monday, 6 p.m. - Transportation Advisory Board Meeting. Main Street study, Bicycle Longmont update.

* Tuesday, 7 p.m. - City Council Meeting. Public hearing on leases to operators at Vance Brand Airport, lengthy consent agenda, farmland purchase.

Louisville -

* Tuesday, 6:15 p.m. - City Council Meeting. Executive Session on legal matters (not open to public), study session on broadband, utility, and finance committees.

*Wednesday, 7 p.m. - Open Space Advisory Board Meeting. Several brief updates on ongoing projects.

*Thursday, 7 p.m. - Planning Commission Meeting. Marijuana ordinance, several special review requests.

Lyons -

* Monday, 7 p.m. - Planning and Community Development Commission Meeting. No agenda available.

Superior -

*Monday, 7 p.m. - Town Board Meeting. Consent agenda, budget hearing, discussion of resolution on ballot measure 6A.
