Lafayette and Longmont are set to discuss 2019 budgets, while in Boulder the public will have two chances to weigh in on the latest updates in the city's attempted separation from Xcel. Nederland's monthly Board of Trustees meeting falls this week. Here is your guide to staying informed and heard in our county.

Boulder

*Monday, 5 p.m. - Local Power Project Update. Come get info and give input on the latest news in the city's quest to separate from Xcel and form its own utility. Speakers include Utility Development Director, Steve Catanach and City Attorney Tom Carr. (West Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe, Creekside Room)

*Wednesday, 5 p.m. - Joint Boards Meeting. The Environmental Advisory Board hosts a meeting on the topic of human impacts to ecosystems with members of Planning Board, Landmarks Board, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Open Space Board of Trustees, the Transportation Advisory Board and the Water Resources Advisory Board. *Thursday, 6 p.m. - City Council Meeting. Public hearing on next steps in the city's negotiations with Xcel.

Erie -

*Tuesday 6 p.m. - Board of Trustees Study Session. Agenda currently unavailable.

*Monday 5:30 p.m. - City Council Meeting. Workshop on Lafayette's intergovernmental agreement with the Rocky Mountain Fire Protection District and 2019 budget review.

Longmont -

*Tuesday, 7 p.m. - City Council Study Session. 2019 budget presentation.

Louisville -

*Monday, 7 p.m. - City Council Meeting. Presentation on budget and capital improvement plans 2019-2024; several resolutions pertaining to fall ballot measures.
