Softball Coach Investigation Ongoing At Broomfield High School
Coach and science teacher Paula Seifried remains on administrative leave after allegations of misconduct.

BROOMFIELD, CO – No charges were announced Tuesday for a Broomfield high school girls' softball coach who has been on administrative leave since last week after allegations of misconduct surfaced.
The school's law enforcement resource officer was interviewing students as part of the investigation, Denver7 reported. Coach Paula Seifried also teaches science has taught at BHS since 2006, according to her homepage on the school website. Seifried has also been put on leave from her teaching position.
Neither the district nor police elaborated about what the allegations were.

“Our protocol is only to release an employee’s name, position and years of service during an investigation, unless there is a direct and immediate threat to student and staff safety. That is not the situation in this case,” Barber told Denver7 Tuesday.
The allegations erupted just as the team was entering a weekend tournament. Assistant coaches Phil Kessler and Courtney Harrelson took over Seifried's duties with the team.

Parents told TV reporters "there was a specific incident that happened over the weekend that led to the district placing Seifried on leave," the station reported.
