13-Year-Old Sentenced For Deadly Colorado Springs Shooting
The boy was sentenced to 6.5 years for his role in killing a liquor store owner.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO -- A boy was sentenced last week for his role in a shooting that killed a Colorado Springs business owner. The 13-year-old boy, whose named was not identified because of his age, received 6.5 years after he pled guilty to aggravated robbery and felony murder, according to The Denver Post.
The newspaper reported that the boy was accompanied by 19-year-old Phinehas Daniels who investigators say killed liquor store owner Donat Herr, 68.
Herr was killed by a single gunshot wound in February during the robbery, authorities said.

"The bullet entered Herr's right side and traveled downward, piercing his liver, stomach and kidney before exiting, the recently released autopsy report said. He died within the hour," according to an August article by The Gazette.
