Missing USAF Academy Cadet's Car Found Near Long's Peak
NPS rangers are coordinating a search for missing cadet candidate Micah Tice who may have tried to climb the fourteener in poor weather.

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO– UPDATE: Missing U.S. Airforce Academy cadet candidate Micah Tice's car was found at the trailhead for Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park. The National Park Service and the USAFA Security team are coordinating a search Tuesday morning.
Weather on Long's Peak was poor on Saturday, with snow accumulation, high winds and cold temperatures.
Micah Tice, 20, is a white male, 5'11" tall who weighs approximately 160 lbs. He has dark hair and brown eyes. Tice drives a blue 2003 Toyota Camry, with Nevada license plate 230B70, the Academy's Facebook page said.

Tice spent Thanksgiving at his sponsor's home in Colorado Springs. His parents, who live in Nevada, last spoke to him at about 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, police said.
According to authorities, Tice told his parents he was planning to "perhaps take a hike" on Saturday (Nov. 24).

Teams will focus their efforts this morning on the lower sections of the Longs Peak Trail to the Keyhole and Chasm Junction, the National Park Service said.
Park rangers would like to hear from anyone who has been in the Longs Peak area since Saturday morning, November 24 or who may have had contact with Tice regarding his planned route on Longs Peak. Please call Rocky Mountain National Park at (970) 586-1204.
Anyone with information is also asked to contact Academy officials at (719) 375-4111 or the Colorado Springs Police Department at (719) 444-7000.
