• Colorado Springs Police are investigating a fatal crash on the north side of the city on Friday (koaa.com) — A pedestrian was killed in a crash Friday afternoon at Voyager Parkway and Cypress Semi Drive in Colorado Springs’ Northgate area, and the intersection remains blocked during the police investigation. Colorado Springs Police say the driver is cooperating, but haven’t released details on how the crash happened. The El Paso County Coroner will identify the victim and cause of death later.
   

• New scam targets Colorado Springs businesses with fake one-star reviews (koaa.com) — Colorado Springs business owners are being hit with a new extortion scam involving waves of fake one-star Google reviews and text demands for hundreds of dollars to remove them. Local trades companies describe how the bogus reviews damage search rankings and reputation, and warn that paying for “500 five-star reviews” could get accounts flagged or shut down. Affected owners are instead asking Google to remove the fraudulent posts.
