  1. The Colorado Springs Police Department says an arrest has been made in a string of burglaries at local cell phone stores. Officials say that over the past month, suspect Ricardo Huizar stole approximately 80 cellular telephones, 40 cellular telephone accessories, and $1,147 in cash. Huizar was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center and faces charges of burglary, a class four felony. (FOX21News.com)
  2. A fourth location of the Raising Cane's Chicken fingers is poised to open in Colorado Springs next week. The newest outpost for the popular fast-food chain will be a 3,316-square-foot restaurant on Academy Boulevard. The first 100 dine-in customers during the restaurant's grand opening on Tuesday will receive a commemorative tee-shirt and a card for a free box combo. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  3. Construction on a new mountain bike venue in Colorado Springs is set to begin early next month. The project will include a dirt pump track and skills trail on the city's southwest side, occupying around one and a half acres of land between Cheyenne Mountain High School and Skyway Elementary. Developers hope the site will open in July, though they are still around $15,000 short of the project's fundraising goal. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
