City Of Colorado Springs: 2022 CDBG And ESG Funding Applications To Open
The minimum request amount is $25,000.00.

On March 4, 2022, the City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division will start accepting applications for 2022 CDBG Public Services and ESG grant funds. The Division anticipates making approximately $500,000 available for CDBG Public Services projects and $200,000 in ESG grant funds available for eligible projects within the City of Colorado Springs.

The minimum request amount is $25,000.00. The application period will close on March 27, 2022, at 11:59pm MST. Nonprofit organizations, faith-based organizations, and public agencies are invited to apply, provided they meet federal eligibility requirements.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Public Services funds generally support service delivery costs for organizations serving low- to moderate-income communities. In response to community feedback, the priority for 2022 CDBG Public Services funds is to continue efforts helping vulnerable families and individuals recover from the economic impacts of the pandemic. The priority areas for 2022 applications are:
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
- Housing stability: Programs that serve households with vital services related to obtaining and keeping safe and stable housing. This includes but is not limited to: Housing counseling or navigation services, eviction prevention, and childcare, food access, aging in place strategies, etc.
- Whole Health and Family safety: Programs that serve household who have lost their income and seek to keep safe and stable housing. This includes but is not limited to: Rental housing subsidies, subsistence payments, and security deposits.
- Resilience: Programs that help individuals and families emerge from incidents of crisis stronger. This includes but is not limited to: Legal services, transportation services, and employment training.
Housing stability Whole Health and Family safety: Resilience
Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds help homeless service providers deliver services to families and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Eligible applicants must collaborate with the Pikes Peak Continuum of Care and participate in Coordinated Entry where applicable. The priority areas for 2022 projects are:

We recommend at least one representative (preferably the grant administrator) attend an online digital office hours session. CDD staff will host digital office hours to offer technical assistance and go over specific questions from applicants on the following dates:

There is no limit to the number of applications that an agency may submit, but each project should be submitted as its own application. Applications selected for funding may receive less than the requested amount, depending on the number of applications received and the available funding. By applying, funding is not guaranteed to any agency or project.
