Here are the top 3 stories today in Colorado Springs:

  1. Colorado Springs has been ranked as the nation's second-best city in U.S. News & World Report's annual Best Places to Live report. The city climbed four spots since last year's report, which ranked Colorado Springs in sixth place. Meanwhile, Boulder, Denver, and Fort Collins all fell in the rankings. The city that secured the top spot in this year's survey was Huntsville, Alabama. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  2. Resident therapy dogs at Doherty High School are helping students relieve stress between classes. Sue Keller, a gifted resource teacher at the school, brings her trained therapy dogs Chief and Luna to campus in the hopes of creating a more positive environment for her students. The dogs first began training as therapy dogs through a program with the Colorado prison system. (KOAA News 5)
  3. The Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum and the City of Colorado Springs kicked off the very first Food Truck Tuesday of the season yesterday. A total of 12 food trucks were on-site at the museum serving up a variety of meals, snacks, and desserts. The program will continue to run each Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. until Oct. 25.
