Here are the top three stories today in Colorado Springs:

  1. The Colorado Springs City Council is debating a proposal that would address some concerns related to evacuations. The proposed ordinance would require the city to be divided into more evacuation zones. Hopefully, the proposed ordinance would make evacuations faster. Concerns stem around how new developments would be added to the zoning and how the plan doesn't factor in certain area evacuation times. (KRDO)

  3. A crash closed down a portion of southbound Powers at Constitution on Friday morning. The Colorado Springs Police Department believes that the crash was caused by an individual driving under the influence. One individual was taken to a local hospital for treatment and the road was reopened by 6:15 a.m. (KKTV)
