  1. Students at Columbia Elementary School celebrated Bike to School Day on Thursday by riding their bikes to class. Around 50 elementary school students and parents showed up at Boulder Park and joined the convoy for the half-mile ride to the school yesterday morning. The event was held in partnership with Kids on Bikes, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring kids to lead more active lifestyles. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
  2. A freshman cadet at the Colorado Air Force Academy has died after a skateboarding accident. 23-year-old Ryong Adams was initially hospitalized on Apr. 23 but passed away from his injuries on Tuesday. Adams had served in the Air Force prior to being accepted into the Academy and attended the prep school before becoming a cadet. (Colorado Springs Patch)
