- The United States Forest Service will unveil a new airtanker base today in Colorado Springs. The base is meant to increase capability and efficiency in fighting fires around the city. The new base will be at the Colorado Springs Airport. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- Colorado Springs Fire Department is offering mental health services to its firefighters. According to the department, the job of fighting fires can put significant mental stress on firefighters. The mental health resources are viewed by the department as being as important as physical conditioning and training for its crews. (KRDO)
- The Colorado Springs Police Department is warning the community about a new scam. According to the department, scammers are stealing money while borrowing phones to make emergency calls. The scammers are using digital payment platforms such as Venmo to send money in a matter of seconds to multiple recipient accounts. (KKTV)
