Here are the top 3 stories today in Colorado Springs:
- Colorado Springs Utilities began enforcing new responsible watering practices this month. Now through Oct. 15, customers will be required to follow these water-wise rules to help maintain healthy landscapes. The new guidelines include watering a maximum of three days a week and repairing leaking sprinkler systems within 10 days. (FOX21News.com)
- The Westside Community Center will operate on a revised schedule beginning next month. Starting Jun. 1, the center will be open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. City officials are currently working to identify long-term options for the continued operation of the center, whose operational contract with the Center for Strategic Ministry ends on May 31. - The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is in the running to be named the "Best Zoo in North America." Last year, the zoo placed fourth overall and third for the title of "Best Zoo Exhibit in North America." Friends of the zoo can vote once daily between now and May 23 using the link on the zoo's website. (KKTV)
