Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:
- A rollover crash has resulted in the death of two men. The incident occurred in the 3700 block of Carefree Circle North on Monday morning. The vehicle was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed before the driver lost control and rolled multiple times. Jesus Ponce-Torres and Patrick Matthew Lloyd succumbed to their injuries after being transported to a local hospital. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
- Swim instructors in Colorado Springs are urging parents to enroll children in swim lessons to prevent drownings this season. The lessons provide a safe environment for children to gain skills and comfort in the water. Parents are also being encouraged to become CPR-certified for unfortunate incidents that may occur. (KKTV)
- The Colorado Springs Police Department is notifying the community that a sexually violent predator has moved into the Colorado Springs area. Mark Dion Heroux has been notified of his responsibilities and will be registering as a sex offender while staying at 6686 Wolf Gulch Dr. This notification to the community is required by law.
