Here are the top three stories in Colorado Springs today:

  1. A Colorado Springs advocacy group is collecting signatures to make marijuana legal for recreational use. Your Choice Colorado Springs' petitions have nearly 100,000 signatures — over 2.5 times the amount they need to get the issue on the November ballot. The group reports that the city is missing out on millions in potential tax revenue. (KRDO)
  2. The El Paso County Clerk and Recorder's Office has opened additional polling centers in Colorado Springs. Completed mail ballots can be dropped off at one of the county's 39 ballot drop box locations. Election day is on Tuesday, Jun. 28 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (KRDO)
  3. A Colorado Springs apartment shooting has left one individual dead. The incident occurred near the Sedona Ridge Apartments on Sunday night. The investigation has not led to any arrests yet but anyone with information is being directed to contact the Colorado Springs Police Department with an anonymous tip. (Colorado Springs Gazette)
