Here are the top three stories today in Colorado Springs:

1. Colorado Springs pools have been affected by a lifeguard shortage for the second summer in a row. The problem is not unique to Colorado Springs, as the entire country is dealing with a lifeguard shortage. Last year, lifeguard positions were only 50 percent filled. This year, 60 percent of lifeguard positions have been filled, which is a good improvement. (KRDO)
2. The Colorado Springs street sweepers have been given names. Residents will encounter Dirt Reynolds, Bruce Springsclean, Sweepy McSweepFace, and Kevin cleaning the streets this year. 3. The Colorado Springs Police Department has charged five individuals with various charges related to a sex trafficking case involving a 15-year-old victim. Joshua Carrasco, Amanda Cortez, Adam Quintana, Krishawna Coles, and Levi Chester were taken into custody after the department received a tip. Anyone with information about the case or human trafficking is advised to call 866-455-5075. (KKTV)
