1-Year Cold Case: Who Killed Ijah Hamilton, 17?
Denver Police are asking the public for leads in a fatal shooting at a stop sign in Northeast Park Hill.

DENVER, CO – Denver Police are seeking clues about the fatal shooting of Ijah Hamilton, 17, who was shot at close range while sitting in a car stopped at a stop sign last year in Northeast Park Hill.
Metro Crime Stoppers has renewed a request for information, and offered $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the persons involved.
Ijah's family described him as a "bright, talented, funny, young man" in a GoFundMe posted last year to help pay funeral expenses.

On November 16, 2017, at 7:42 p.m., Hamilton was in a vehicle with another male. They were stopped at the stop sign at East Thrill Place and North Forest Street when several unknown males approached their car and fired multiple shots into it, police said.
Hamilton was killed, and the other person in the car was hit but survived. Police investigators say the suspects were likely in their teens, and at least two of them were African-American males.

Denver police asked the public to help identify the suspects and to advance the case to the point where charges can be filed against those responsible for Hamilton’s murder.
Tipsters may remain anonymous and are asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
