3 Stabbed, Suspect Shot Dead At Shotgun Willie's In Glendale
A security guard, one of the stabbing victims, shot and killed the knife-wielding man, police said.

GLENDALE, CO — Three people were stabbed and a suspect shot dead by a security guard at the Shotgun Willie's gentlemen's club on Colorado Boulevard in Glendale Friday night, police in the Denver suburb said.
A Glendale police spokeswoman said a 40-year-old man got out of his car and "almost immediately began engaging staff members with a large knife," stabbing three people a little before 10 p.m. on July 17.
An armed security guard, one of the stabbing victims, shot and killed the knife-wielding man according to police. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, but had not been identified as of 8:30 a.m. Saturday pending the notification of his next of kin, the spokeswoman said.

All three stabbing victims were taken to a Denver hospital. One, a 40-year-old man, was in critical condition Saturday morning while two others, a 45-year-old man and 24-year-old man, were both listed in stable condition.
In a statement released Saturday, Shotgun Willie's said the security guard died from his injuries.

"The entire team at Shotgun Willie's is devastated by last night's unfortunate events," the statement read.
"In addition to the deceased suspect, one of our employees who was trying to stop the stabber was tragically killed during the incident and we are all mourning his loss.
"Right now, we are focused on the safety, health and wellbeing of our staff and providing them with access to counseling services and other resources during this difficult time. The Glendale Police Department is working to notify next of kin."
