Leave Early! Snowstorm Will Snarl Denver Rush Hour Traffic: CDOT
Expect a "slow and difficult commute through this afternoon and evening," CDOT says.

DENVER, CO – If you can leave work early today in metro Denver, get out before rush hour. That's the advice of the Colorado Department of Transportation Wednesday, as snowy and sleety conditions are expected on the roads this evening due to a winter storm.
Temperatures are dropping, according to the National Weather Service, and snow is falling. Things will only get worse into the afternoon rush hour with extreme cold and 25 to 30 mph. winds.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is urging motorists to be prepared for "slick driving conditions in the midst of heavy traffic." This could make for a slow and difficult commute through this afternoon and evening.

About 100 CDOT plows will be out in the metro region working through the duration of the storm, the agency said. Crews will focus first on interstates and other mainlines with the heaviest traffic volumes during the storm and plow state-maintained secondary roads following rush-hour.
