Here are the top stories today in Denver:
- President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill, flew to Colorado Friday to survey the wildfire damage. Before he left the White House, Biden called the destruction "god-awful." The president met with Gov. Jared Polis, local elected officials and fire survivors. (AP via Patch)
- The partial human remains that were found after the Marshall Fire have been identified as 69-year-old Robert Sharpe, officials confirmed. His family has posted a flyer that shares information about his memorial service. A woman in Superior remains missing. (FOX 31 Denver)
- Denver Sheriff Major Jodi Blair retired last summer, but before she left, she wrote a scathing letter accusing her administration of discrimination and retaliation. The Denver sheriff and a former public safety director are under investigation for neglecting to forward the letter to the equal employment opportunity coordinator, Fox 31 Problem Solvers reports. - It's official: UFCW Local 7 said its workers at King Soopers will begin a three-week strike on Wednesday in protest of unfair labor practices. The strike will affect around 8,400 Colorado workers at 87 grocery stores. King Soopers says it offered the union a fair package, but union representatives disagree. (Denver Patch)
