Colorado Ramps Up COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, Testing
In addition to an ongoing vaccination information campaign, Colorado is adding mobile testing and vaccination centers across the state.

DENVER, CO — Colorado is launching new COVID-19 testing clinics and vaccine sites, as well as a new vaccination marketing campaign.
Colorado has been running a series of vaccination information campaigns for months now.
The first launched in October and involved Dr. Rachel Herlihy and Denver Health’s Dr. Gabriela Frank encouraging Coloradans to get the vaccine before the holiday season began.

As of Jan. 14, Colorado is continuing its information campaigns by launching a wide-sweeping marketing campaign designed to provide the most up-to-date information about vaccinations while also clarifying any misconceptions that have cropped up.
The ad campaign will appear in both English and Spanish.
"Vaccines are the quickest and most effective way to get society back to a more normal way of life while protecting individuals from this deadly and ever-changing virus," the Executive Director of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Jill Hunsaker-Ryan, said. "We will continue to be unrelenting in providing education about and access to COVID-19 vaccines."
In conjunction with this campaign, Colorado is sending out mobile vaccination and testing units across the state, specifically targeting community events, according to public health officials.
Beginning Jan. 18, the Boulder County Fairgrounds will host a community clinic that will provide COVID-19 testing and up to 250 doses of vaccination a day. This clinic offers Pfizer 12+ vaccine, Pfizer for children age 5-11, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and flu vaccines and is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
A mobile vaccination clinic will continue through Jan. 21 in the parking lot north of Chopper Circle at Ball Arena. This clinic is open every day until Jan. 21 from noon to 7:30 p.m. and will be offering all COVID-19 vaccines as well as flu vaccines.
Public health officials recommend people get a third dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine if they are 12 and older and have received their second dose of Pfizer five months ago, or if they are 18 and older and have received their second dose of Moderna five months ago.
Public health officials strongly recommend that all Coloradans ages five and older get a COVID-19 vaccination.
"Our priority has always been to communicate with compassion, patience, and facts," Hunsaker-Ryan said. "We want residents to feel empowered to help end this crisis. It is their actions that will protect their loved ones, help kids stay in school, and promote economic stability for individuals, families, and communities."
