Denver Homicide Suspect Arrested In New Mexico

Man suspected in December stabbing death located in Albuquerque.

DENVER, CO -- A man is being held on first-degree murder charges in a New Mexico jail, in relation to the Dec. 22 stabbing death of a man in the 1900 block of E. Colfax Avenue. Jose Acevedo, 39, was arrested in Albuquerque on Thursday, according to a press release from the Denver Police Department.

The arrest affidavit is sealed and not available for release at this time. The identity of the victim in this case will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

The Denver Police Department issued its thanks the Albuquerque Police Department for the assistance in taking Acevedo into custody.
