Gusty Winds, Snow, Ice Slow Down Denver Traffic
Slushy roads, wind gusts and falling snow made for a slow commute Monday in Denver.

DENVER, CO – Falling snow, slushy roads and wind gusts slowed down traffic in Denver Monday morning.
A northbound storm hit the area along the I-25 corridor. Periods of snow and blowing snow, along with a flash freeze caused significant black ice on area roadways, the National Weather Service said. Total snow accumulations of up to an inch or two were expected in metro Denver. Winds gusts up to 35 mph were expected. In the mountains, 3 - 4 inches of snow are expected.
The NWS expects snow to blow through by around 10 a.m. this morning.
