Handgun-Waving Driver Sought By Denver Police

Do you recognize this man in a white Dodge pickup who allegedly threatened other drivers with a handgun Monday?

DENVER, CO – Denver police and Metro Denver Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help to identify a driver who allegedly harassed people in other cars and pointed a handgun at them Monday.

Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 for information about the man who allegedly threatened other drivers with a semi-automatic handgun around 1:30 p.m. Jan. 21 near West Mississippi Avenue and South Pecos Street.

The man, described as a white male driving a white Dodge 2500 pickup, was captured on cell phone video by passengers in another car.

Police want to question the man for possible felony menacing, a Class 5 felony in Colorado.

"Obviously if we have someone driving around [allegedly] pointing a handgun at people, we want to identify that person right away," said Doug Schepman, of the Denver Police Public Information Office.
